We held a kindness fortnight throughout our school where we all made an extra effort to be nice to one another both in class and on yard! We did lots of activities in class to learn more about ways in which we can be kind and show respect to others! We created a kindness display outside our classroom with slogans reminding us about the importance of being kind. We organised a kindness box in our classroom where we could nominate someone in our class who had made a particularly good effort to carry out an act of kindness and held a raffle at the end of the week using the names in the box. Mrs Power got a special treat of ice-cream and crisps at the end of the two weeks to reward all the children for their great behaviour! Well done everyone!

This week the children took part in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) challenge. They were tasked with building the tallest tower possible using 16 plastic cups. They were encouraged to think like engineers and problem solve to design a tower that was stable and wouldn’t easily collapse. They worked in small groups and talked through their ideas before beginning to build. They had great fun and came up with some great designs!
