Miss Hanrahan

Hi all,
Hope you had a nice Christmas and enjoyed the holidays! I hope to be in contact with everyone today by email but if you need to contact me at any stage over the next few weeks please do at ms.hanrahan@killinurens.ie.
Here is the work for today.

1. Maths

  • Master Your Maths Week15 p34 Monday
  • +11 tables( learn first 4 sums)
  • Busy at Maths p68 Table tips 4-Watch the video below before trying this page!

*If you have access to a computer you could try some of the online activities         too. https://data.cjfallon.ie/resources/19619/activity-68/activity-68/index.html

2. English:

  • Writing-Our News-Write your news from the holidays in your news copy, try to write at least 1 page. (Do this on a page or in a spare copy if you don't have your news copy at home)
  • Reading: We are starting our new reader Dance Shoes for GG, the children don't have this book at home so I will attach the page below. Before reading  talk about the title of the story, what might it be about, look at the pictures and describe what you see, try and make predictions about what will happen.

3. Gaeilge: Bua na Cainte: An Aimsir(the weather) Ceacht 1(lesson 1), watch the video below. I will include a picture of the text of the video underneath.
The main phrases we are trying to learn are 'Cuir ort na spéaclaí gréine'(Put on the sunglasses). Cén saghas lae é?( what kind of day is it?). Tá sé (it is)......gaofar(windy), scamallach(cloudy), te agus tirim(hot and dry), fuar agus gaofar(cold and windy), fliuch(wet), geal(bright), dorcha(dark), ag cur báistí(raining), ag cur sneachta(snowing).
Practise using these phrases, look out the window this morning and see if you can describe the weather!
