We had great fun looking at a new book for World Book Day - The Dot by Peter Reynolds. It's a lovely story about creativity and determination. We were very creative ourselves, making our own dot drawings and designs, and predicting what might happen next in the story. We used lovely colours and did a wonderful job!

We had a fabulous time in Liskennett Equine Centre for our horse riding session! We walked along their lovely nature trail and the horses were so calm and gentle. They have such a wonderful facility in Liskennett and we can't wait to visit again!

We learned this week about the Chinese New Year. We looked at traditions and customs that Chinese people do to celebrate their New Year, and this year is the Year of the Snake. We did some amazing, colourful art to celebrate, including a paper plate dragon, lantern collages, and silhouette dragons!

We had a very festive time in school this week! There was great excitement as Santa came to visit us on his tractor and gave us some treats. We did excellent Christmas art too and we're looking forward to the holidays!

We had the pleasure of welcoming Paralympian Tiarnán O'Donnell to our school, and we had such a lovely time listening to his amazing journey and hearing about his success. He recently rowed for Ireland at the Paris Paralympics. Ronan gave him a small token to thank him for his visit, and his story is an inspiration for all of us.

We all did a wonderful job on the Halloween art we did over the past few weeks. We made crazy skeletons with cotton buds, scary water paint monsters, spooky print paint characters, and terrifying Frankensteins!

We had a great time doing a very colourful science experiment yesterday. We used skittles to create rainbows in the water. The colours made lovely patterns on the plate and showed how the food colouring moved through the warm water.

We have done some fantastic art recently. We looked at one of the most famous paintings in the world, The Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci! We created our own versions of the Mona Lisa in funny scenarios, and put together Mona Lisa jigsaws which looked very interesting after swapping the pieces with each other.
