The Green School Committee set up an Earth Day scavenger hunt for the younger classes. They also demonstrated the eco-friendly 'Elephant Toothpaste' experiment around the school. We had a 'No Power Hour' in which the teachers turned off the lights and electrics for one hour. 6th class completed 'Our Earth Day Promise' Art and displayed it in the School corridor to inspire the younger children to save energy. The Green School Committee are also working on new ideas to save energy around the school. Our 'Switch Off Squad' worked really well and we are currently designing light switch frames to remind people to switch off before leaving the room. 💡
