A message from the Parent Association:
Looking forward to a fantastic year ahead.
The Parent Association had their AGM on Tuesday night. A big thanks to all who attended.
The old council was dissolved.
A big thanks to Laura Leahy and Laura Tobin for their work the past two years, they have been great mentors.
Laura Tobin is stepping down after 9 years with the Parent Association, we wish her all the best.
A new council was elected, comprising of:
Chair - Freda Kennedy Liddane
Secretary - Claire Barry
Treasurer - Ciara Keating.
It has been a pleasure to work along side existing committee members and big thanks to all those who have stayed on for the coming school year, a special welcome to the new members, all the help and ideas will be much appreciated.
Our first meeting of the new Parents Association will take place this coming Tuesday 13th at 8pm in The Valley Inn Murroe.
It's not to late to get involved and have your say, you can email parentsassociation@killinurnens.ie or attend the next meeting to find out more.
We will endeavour to carry on the good work of the previous committee with fundraising and events.
The money raised by the parents Association goes directly towards things that benefit our children throughout their life time in the school. Including subsidising transport for swimming lessons, school tours. Gifts for graduation and communion classes. 6th class hoodies and not to forget the always popular ice cream van on sports day.
The parents Association facilities events like the Halloween and Christmas school treat visits, a great hit with young and old.
To organising coffee reception for after communion, graduation and the welcoming of the new Junior Infants Parents.
If you can spare an hour our two over the year, I would encourage you to get involved.
Warm regards
Killinure NS Parents Association
