Our SESE lessons at the moment are about some of the ways we can stay safe: e.g. Using protective gear when doing certain activities (e.g gardening).
Other topics include:
- Dangers in the Playground
- Hazards at Home
- The Gardaí
Today we were learning about the Gardaí and the work that they do.
We also learnt that they wear high-visibility (hi-vis) jackets in their work and why it's a good idea, for all of us, to wear hi-vis clothing when walking, cycling and out at night.
As we had a set of children's hi-vis vests in our storeroom, we each got one to take home and keep.
The motto on the back of them reads,
'Be Safe, Be Seen'.
