A few weeks ago, Senior Infants and Fifth Class students joined up to begin 'READING BUDDIES'- a new 'shared reading' initiative.
We meet twice a week with our Reading Buddies and Senior Infants get to read/discuss their current class reader with their older buddies. Everyone is enjoying it lots and building great bonds with their new friends.
To mark World Book Day today (March 6th), Senior Infants brought in some of their favourite books from home and their reading buddies got to read these books to them.
It was a wonderful experience and a great success.👏👏
We hope to continue this initiative for the rest of this school year, introducing more new ideas along the way! 😀👌🏻👌🏻
