The children have been studying the novel Wonder by RJ Pallacio. Once a week they engage in literacy circles in which they look at new words from the book, imagery, interesting passages and make connections with their own lives. This group work activity is overseen by a 'director' in each group who organises the work and keeps everyone on task.
