We have had a super week in school celebrating Maths Week! We have had different activities in our classroom, outdoors and with our 4th class buddies throughtout the week😀
Monday was all about using our Maths eyes 👀
Juniors had to guess/ estimate how many percy pigs were in a jar! They also used their maths eyes to play some maths board games during our maths time!
On Tuesday, our class were broken into 4 teams and joined up with Seniors and first class to complete to Maths Movment games and activities. We focussed on colours, patterns and using 2D shapes. Skills such as working as part of a team, turn taking and problem solving were also used during our 4 activities with the different class teachers.
Take a look at the video below to see how it all went😀
On Wednesaday we became Data Detectives with our 4th Class buddies! We did a vote with our buddies to see what our favourite animals, sweets, games and movies were. Then our class buddies helped us to create a pictogram and juniors presented the findings in front of our class! 😀
On Thursday Juniors went on a shape hunt around the school! We had great fun working as a team to spot as many shapes as we could! 😀
On our final day of Maths week we welcomed our buddies back to our classroom! They had worked very hard all week to create a maths games to play with their buddies! Thanks to 4th class for such a fun day😀
Also congrats to Maebh who was the winner of our estimation challenge!
Juniors have had a brilliant time in school and we had tonnes of fun during maths week😀
