Today we celebrated our Lá Glas with so many acrivities. We asked everyone to dress in their brightest greens and everyone really impressed.
The class took turns dressing as St. Patrick during our Irish lesson, conducting a mini classroom parade, giving each group instructions in Irish.
After learning about traditional Irish instruments in music Theo and Liam treated us to a demonstration of the banjo, teaching us how it is different from other stringed instruments and playing some music for us. We were very impressed.
In aid of 'Dance for Declan' and Milford Hospice we learned to dance the Siege of Ennis. It was some workout. It was a new experience for many of us, but the class really threw themselves into the dance with great enthusiasm.
Thank you all so much for your generosity in our collection for Milford Hospice. The kids had an amazing day. I hope you all enjoy this St. Patrick's Day weekend!
