In SESE, we are currently learning about sowing seeds and growing plants, so today we put it into practice!
Over the past 10 days, the children have been diligently collecting their yogurt pots after their food, washing and drying them carefully. With a few holes inserted into the bottom of each, the pots have been converted in handy little seed pots.
We've been learning that seeds need light and water to grow....but not too much of each! We've also learned how to check if our seeds need watering.
Today, using a large tuff tray, each of us took turns planting our own seeds, using our spoons, a choice of seeds, compost and water.
We will watch these carefully over the next 2 weeks and then take them home for transplanting .
We can't wait to see how they turn out!😀
