Today, after our small break, Junior Infants went for a walking tour of Killinure NS with Ms R and Trish. We got to visit some great places in our lovely school.
Firstly, we went next door to visit our neighbours in Senior Infants. We got a warm welcome from Ms O'Neill and her lovely class and some of the children told us about their class rules and class jobs (very similar to ours!)
We all sang 'Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes' together, while doing all the actions- it was great fun! 😊
Next, we visited the staffroom, where the school staff have their lunches every day. It has lots of things that you would find in a kitchen, like a big table and chairs, a microwave, fridge and a kettle.
After that, we stopped at the big school crest on the main corridor of the school. We noticed it's the very same as the crest on our school uniform. We are not allowed to walk on this big crest, however ...we always walk around it!
Nearby, we saw the stairs that leads to Mr Guiney's office. We spotted that his door was closed, so that means nobody except Mr Guiney is allowed to go in! 🤫🤫🤫
One of the best parts of the tour was when we visited Ciara the secretary's office in the front part of the school. She was so kind and even invited us all in to see her!
She showed us her big office computer, the school bell, her shelves of coloured paper and the big photocopier.
Last of all, we got to play in the big front yard of the school, where the older boys and girls play every day.
We really enjoyed our first tour of Killinure School! 👍🏻👍🏻
