Congratulations to our Fifth and Sixth Class boys who put in a very brave performance against a strong Roxboro side last Tuesday, October 25th. Throw-in was at 10am on a damp, breezy morning and conditions weren't great for Gaelic football.

Roxboro got off to a good start and scored two points early on in the game. Our boys took a while to settle but had a lot of possession towards the latter part of the first half. The half-time score was two points apiece. Unfortunately, the Roxboro team had what seemed to be an even stronger wind at their backs in the second half and were very dominant. Despite all their possession, our backs kept them to just two more points before they finished with a good goal in the last minute of the game.

Final Score

Killinure 0-2

Roxboro 1-4

It was a great achievement for our boys as Killinure had never taken part in a 13-a-side A Football final before, so we are all immensely proud of their efforts. Well done boys!
