Q3 .These are division questions based on the items in Gary's greengrocers.
Q1. These are multiplcation questions based on the West Coast Surf Shop.

Hints:
Q9. There is a decimal point in the answer.
Q14 You need the answer from Q13 to work this one out.
Q16 You must add all the improvements that were done on the house and then find 1/5 of it and subtract it from the original number.

Q3 – You are using division to find the cost of one of each item.
Challenge – You find the cost of one ball for part (a) and then use your answer from part (a) to solve part (b).
Q1 – You are using short multiplication to solve these questions. Be careful with (c) – (e) to count how many people and the number of days before multiplying.

Q9 – Remember to use a decimal point to make the smallest number possible.
Q14 – You need to use your answer from Q13 to solve this.
Q16 – This is a three step question. Part 1 – Find the total cost of improvements – This includes the tiles, the kitchen and the flooring. Part 2 – Find 1/5 of the cost to get your discount. Part 3 – Find the new price.
