Good morning,
I have organised a Google Meet for today at 11am and 11:45am. Please check your email after 9am to see if you are on today. Please have your Maths and English books with you. Remember a parent/ guardian must be present with you.
Here is today's work.
Maths:
Busy at Maths-Money page 105 Q3- Q6 and page 106 Q1 and Q2.
Please do Q3-6 in your Maths copy.
Q1 on page 106 you are doing short division. Don't forget your decimal point.
Q2. You have to work out the cost of each item in the restaurant- Bill Bob's BBQ Pit.
Master your Maths page 47-week 21-Wednesday.
Hints:
Q6. Remember a composite number is a number that has more than two factors. It can be divided by other numbers not just itself and 1.
Q9. You are rounding to the nearest 1/10.
Q10 should be 10 kg of potatoes at €1 per 2kg.
Q13. Remember 3/4 =72. What is our rule when a fraction is /=a number. We divide by the top number and multiply our answer by the bottom number.
Q14. Please do this in your copy. You need to find the reduced price of each bike and then add them together. Find 1/10 of €79 and subtract that from €79 to get the sale price. Find 1/5 of €90 and subtract that from €90 to get the sale price and find 3/10 of €100 and subtract that from €100 to get the sale price. Then add the sale prices together to get how much Dad paid for the three bikes.

Q14 – We need to work out the sale price for each of the bikes. Bike A – find 1/10 of €79; Bike B – find 1/5 of €90; Bike C- find 3/10 of €100. Then add our new prices together.
Q15 – We start with €1.00 and subtract the change of 13c. Then we know how much was spent on 3 bananas. We find the cost of one by dividing by three.
