Hi Everyone!
In addition to your schoolwork today, I'll be adding a lovely little Art lesson on Class Dojo later this afternoon (as Friday is Art Day in school, after all!) Why not give it a try?
Don't forget to send me pics of your creations on Class DoJo, if you make it :-)
St Brigid's Cloak:
This lovely paper St Brigid's cloak weaving activity is the perfect way to reflect on the story of Saint Brigid and her cloak.
St Brigid's cloak is an important part of this particular saint’s story….
Brigid is our female national patron saint of Ireland. This means she is a special protector of our country (Ireland) and everyone /everything that lives in it.
Her feast day takes place next Monday, February 1st… the 1st day of Spring.
The King of Leinster allowed St Brigid as much land as her cloak could cover to build a monastery.
However, to the Kings dismay, this cloak could stretch and cover a large expanse of land, enough to build Kildare Abbey.
